Our purpose is to:
- Identify and clarify community issues
- Identify and consolidate resources
- Act as a catalyst for action
The Flint Hills Resources Community Action Council is a diverse group of business people, community leaders and activists who volunteer to help make Corpus Christi and the Texas Coastal Bend a better place to live and work. Approximately 35 strong, the Council represents a variety of organizations and interests.
The Council’s membership is recruited to use their unique positions, experience and knowledge to work in partnership with other Council members on one or more Council-identified projects. The real strength of the group comes from using these diverse voices to create positive, constructive solutions by finding common ground and working together to implement change.
Monthly Council meetings held on the second Tuesday from 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM include a review of community needs and discussion and that leads to the planning and development of various projects.
The work of the council has been recognized by the Texas General Land Office and Corpus Christi Independent School District.
